Zhou Enlai's Kang Table

You can see that its front legs are shorter than its rear legs to form a slope and there is a frame on the table. By this design, it is easy for premier to read and comment on documents in bed and the frame can prevent documents and pens from slipping off. This kang table facilitated Zhou Enlai's work. However, Deng Yingchao regretted that she designed the table soon. With the table, it was more comfortable for him to work in bed because he could take a rest immediately if he felt tired. Then, he worked longer and slept less.
