Replica of the Xihua Hall in Zhongnanhai

With the floor space of over 6,000 square meters, the replica of the Xihua Hall in Zhongnanhai covers an area of about one hectare, which was co-designed by Professor Qi Kang from Southeast University and China Foreign Landscaping Company Suzhou Branch. It was the place where Zhou Enlai lived and worked. The front drawing room was the main place where Zhou Enlai met with foreign guests and held major state occasions in those days. The rooms in the back row were Zhou Enlai's entertainment room, office, back drawing room, Deng Yingchao's bedroom, Deng Yingchao's office and Zhou Enlai's bedroom from west to east. The small room in front of Zhou Enlai's office was the room for the premier's bodyguards. The wing-rooms on both sides were for the staff who worked for Zhou Enlai.
