The stele garden in the Xihua Garden was built to commemorate Zhou‘s 110th birthday. It covers an area of 26 mu, displaying 10 stones bearing inscriptions by Zhou Enlai and 100 steles bearing calligraphy works by famous domestic calligraphers. The Waterside Pavilion is to the south of the stele garden. On the north side of the Waterside Pavilion is the Buran Pavilion which is connected with the corridor. On the northwest side is the Meng’ou Hall. Among the three large rooms facing the south, the middle one is a large hall with double ridges, which is used as an exhibition room of paintings and calligraphy works. The Meng‘ou Hall and the two houses which are about 16.7 meters in width on the east and west sides are now used as stele halls.
