Boli Museum of Farmers' Paintings. Boli was named the County of Modern Chinese Folk Paintings by the Ministry of Culture in 1991. Farmers' paintings in Boli, Peixian of Xuzhou, Huxian of Shaanxi and Jinshan of Shanghai were rated as four genres of Chinese farmers' paintings. The content of Boli farmers' paintings mostly implies fortune and happiness and is closely linked to farmers' life. Scenes depicting farmers' affections for their native place, family members and farming work embody the meaning of fortune and happiness. Boli farmers' embroideries use colorful silk threads as embroidery threads to create a good color shading effect.
