Main Hall of Liang Hongyu Temple. At the center of the altar is the sculpture of Liang Hongyu with a sword in military uniform. Beside the sculpture is a couplet written by Ding Yan, a native of Huai'an and a famous economist in the Qing dynasty. The first line says that Ling Hongyu and Han Shizhong fell in love at the first sight and she helped Han Shizhong in the resistance against Jin's invasion after they got married. The second line says that Liang Hongyu outshined the then men so the temple was restored in the times of peace and prosperity in honor of her. In 1958, Zhou Enlai talked about the experience he visited Liang Hongyu Temple with his buddies when he received the head of the Party committee of Huai'an. It was surprise that Zhou Enlai could still recite the couplet.
